Rotational Occupational Therapist - Band 5

We currently have a vacancy for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist in our newly expanded rotation program. This rotation offers a variety of acute-based settings, encouraging the development of core OT skills within a supportive environment. You will work within well-established therapy teams as part of a multidisciplinary team in the vibrant and diverse area of Lewisham. Our team supports your transition from student to newly qualified therapist and encourages further development for experienced Band 5s. This role includes core acute rotations across various settings, providing opportunities to develop essential skills in a supportive environment. Rotations Include: Emergency Department (ED) Frailty Acute Medical Wards (including Cardiology and Oncology) Acute Respiratory Wards Trauma and Orthopaedics General Surgery Elderly Care Stroke You will be supported by Band 6 and Band 7 staff to develop your skills in assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients with a broad range of medical conditions. We have a strong focus on teaching and development, including fortnightly in-service training, protected CPD time, and a self-directed Band 5 development group. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our established OT-specific preceptorship program to aid your transition from student to qualified practitioner.
