Despite new backing, the business retains its agile, fast-paced culture, and now needs a Principal Commercial Officer to help mature its commercial capability. You\’ll sit at the crossroads of Business Development, Bids, and Contracts, ensuring the business runs efficiently — and is positioned for long-term growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Shape commercial input across early-stage programmes and proposals
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage bids and agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Work cross-functionally across finance, legal, delivery, and engineering teams
  • Support customer relationship development and influence payment/IPR strategies
  • Ensure risk and obligations are appropriately managed and flowed down

What You’ll Bring

  • Commercial experience
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and bid/proposal development
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • UK right to work and eligibility for Security Clearance (5+ years UK residency)
