A leading professional consultancy is seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of exciting and technically challenging projects across the residential, educational, commercial, and healthcare sectors, delivering full design and project management services through RIBA Stages 1-6.
The role involves delivering and developing electrical building services designs from concept through detailed design (RIBA Stages 1-4) and managing electrical services on-site through construction and completion (RIBA Stages 5-6). Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients and project teams, represent the company professionally, prepare technical reports, specifications, and AutoCAD drawings, attend site visits and inspections, and contribute to business development and client retention.
Applicants must have a minimum HND qualification in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in electrical building services design and project delivery. They must live within a 1-hour commute of London Liverpool Street. Strong communication skills and proven experience in client-facing roles are essential. Candidates should be competent in AutoCAD, MS Word, and Excel, with strong technical writing ability. A full UK driving licence, own vehicle, and business use insurance are required.
