We are representing a highly respected, national consultancy with a strong presence across the UK, currently seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative sustainability initiatives within a firm widely recognised for leading industry standards in sustainable design, construction, and operation.

With a dedicated Sustainability Group embedded in every office, this role offers the chance to shape the future of sustainable development across a diverse range of high-profile projects and sectors.

The Role:

This varied position offers both project-facing and industry-influencing responsibilities. You will be joining a dynamic team with an ambitious, forward-thinking culture focused on delivering outstanding environmental outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering environmental assessments (e.g. BREEAM, WELL, HQM) throughout project lifecycles
  • Supporting the development of holistic sustainability strategies for a range of clients
  • Conducting modelling and analysis including: embodied carbon, circular economy potential, operational energy, overheating, and more
  • Contributing to the development of energy and net zero strategies
  • Supporting and mentoring graduate team members
  • Participating in R&D initiatives and knowledge-sharing efforts within the wider consultancy network

About You:

We are looking for someone with hands-on sustainability consultancy experience and the ambition to develop both their own expertise and that of the wider industry. You are likely to have experience with some of the following:

  • BREEAM, HQM, WELL, Fitwel
  • Sustainability and energy planning documentation
  • Whole life carbon and circular economy reporting
  • Energy modelling using tools such as IES and Elmhurst
  • Net zero strategies, dynamic thermal modelling, and in-use energy assessments

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience within the built environment sector
  • A relevant degree in sustainability, engineering, or environmental science
  • Previous experience in a sustainability or building services consultancy
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
  • Passion for creating meaningful, measurable environmental outcomes
