As the largest HVAC Mechanical company in New Zealand, Aquaheat specialise in the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC Mechanical services with our clients made up from a broad range of sectors including public health, government departments, education facilities, as well as many of New Zealand\’s leading blue-chip corporations, large commercial organisations, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Due to winning several medium to large projects in the Christchurch region we are looking to employ an additional HVAC Mechanical Foreman to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager & Day to Day Site/Project Manager, you will be responsible for: Providing quality HVAC Site installations to all our clients with all contractual obligations being achieved.Work with the Site Manager and/ or Project Manager in the day-to-day management and support the financial success of the projects you are working on.Lead by example, through effective and motivated leadership, the HVAC site installation team made up of pipe fitters, duct erectors, fitters, welders, apprentices, trade assistants and specialist subcontractors.Provide focus and support to ensure the HVAC site installation team provide a consistent, high quality, professional and efficient service to all our head contractors/clients, ensuring highest levels of work and service quality, legislative compliance, and adherence to company and head contractor/client OH&S needs.Build excellent business relationships with head contractors/ clients and all relevant parties to meet and exceed their expectations.Positively contribute to the successful operation of the project, championing ideas and initiatives when required/requested.To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience: HAVC/Pipefitting background with an understanding of site management.Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in the HVAC industry preferable with a pipe fitting/ducting in an installation environment.5 years post trade experience.Proven experience in supervising HVAC installation team with a passion for delivering high quality customer satisfaction at all times.Experienced in the installation of complex HVAC plant, equipment, and systems in a commercial environment.Ability to schedule work, provide HVAC & Pipe Fitting technical expertise and support staff where required to resolve issues that arise in a busy installation operation.Experience working within OH&S guidelines.People management expertise with the ability to lead, coordinate, motivate and develop HVAC, pipefitting trade staff to create an efficient workforce.Experience with using hand or power equipment.Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations.A passion for maintaining a safe working environment.Co-operative and team orientated.Valid NZ Drivers License.We are looking for an experienced HVAC Foreman who has a genuine belief in providing excellent customer service, is highly motivated with a \”can do\” attitude.Aquaheat as part of the Horizon Energy Group takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders.
