You will be working within the Physical and Elemental Characterisation Platform at the Department of Materials. The purpose of this role is: To facilitate the research and teaching processes at the department of Materials. To provide an agile technical support services to students, academics, and research staff. To provide technical support with responsibility for leading the highly specialised equipment, included in the Polymer, Thermal Analysis and Teaching laboratories. Provide technical support to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching laboratories as well as research and commercial activities. Assistance to the academic members of staff in the organisation and daily running of specific laboratory classes and practical courses in Material Science. We are seeking a Senior Technician with a flexible approach to working within an agile organisation therefore the post holder will also be expected to support the wider technical team working across a variety of techniques and physical locations should the need arise.
