Your Client, a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore, is currently looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to be based from the Surrey office supporting the offshore wind tendering team.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Candidates must have 10-15 years in project proposal activities in the Offshore sector (or similar) or in project and field activities with proposal knowledge.
- Experience in large offshore installation scopes or large fabrication projects where multiple structures are involved.
- Extensive experience in proposal management and bids in the offshore industry.
JOB SCOPE
As Proposal Manager you will report to the Tendering Manager. You will support the offshore tendering team (Offshore Wind and Offshore Conventional O&G) by leading the preparation of proposals (BID) to ensure success in awarding contracts. You will be the main point of contact with the client during the proposal phase.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the Proposal Plan and manage commercial bids to optimize success in contract awarding and maximize commercial results.
- Ensure the proposal is compliant, consistent, and professionally presented.
- Coordinate final reviews and approvals from senior management.
- Organize and hold the bid kick-off meeting and identify project risks (technical, commercial etc.).
- Approve the preliminary project cash flow and define the bid cost structure with the support of the Estimator.
- Define the scope of work of each party involved in the bid and the project schedule.
- Approve the cost estimate of internally performed activities developed by the Estimator and based on the evaluations made by the other departments.
- Supervise the preparation of Cost and Price Closure Reports and manage the post-bid clarification phase with the Client.
- Lead, if so delegated, negotiations with clients to reach an agreement on the outstanding pricing, commercial, contractual, and technical aspects of the Proposal and in the formalization of contracts.
- Work with legal and risk management teams to review contract terms and propose deviations or clarifications.

WORK PATTERN: Must be able to work Hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days working at home minimum.
