This is a strategic and high-impact role at the heart of the council’s transformation journey, driving digital innovation, data maturity, and technology advancement to improve outcomes for our residents and communities. About the Role You will be the council’s lead adviser on all digital and ICT matters, responsible for the development and implementation of our Digital Strategy, ICT infrastructure, and robust cyber and information governance frameworks. Working in partnership with senior leadership and external stakeholders, you will lead a skilled team to deliver modern, resilient, and customer-focused digital services that support our ambition to be a leading digital borough. What You’ll Be Doing Providing visible and inspiring leadership across digital, ICT, and information governance functions. Driving transformation, innovation, and efficiency through a forward-thinking Digital Strategy. Overseeing a high-performing IT ecosystem that enables seamless service delivery. Ensuring information security, compliance, and cyber resilience across the organisation. Building and managing effective partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers. Supporting strategic decision-making as a member of the wider leadership team. What We’re Looking For We are seeking an influential and experienced leader who can combine strategic vision with operational excellence: Proven success in a senior digital or ICT leadership role within a complex organisation. Track record of delivering major digital transformation programmes and managing change. Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, cyber security, and information governance. Excellent people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. A collaborative, inclusive, and innovative approach aligned with our connected communities principles and our values.
