JD Malat Gallery is seeking a highly motivated and visually astute Creative Content & Design Intern to join our team in London. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to enter the art world through a dynamic role at the intersection of design, content creation, and visual communication. Working closely with the gallery’s senior management team, the intern will support the gallery’s visual identity, content output, and digital presence across platforms. We are looking for someone with strong editing skills, a strategic eye for social media, and an intuitive grasp of visual storytelling in both print and digital formats.
Responsibilities
- Design invitations, exhibition catalogues, newsletters, and branded collateral
- Capture and edit short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Film and photograph daily gallery activity, installations, and events
- Support the gallery’s social media presence and growth across key platforms
- Contribute to and implement content calendars in line with curatorial and commercial programming
- Liaise with external vendors (printers, designers, etc.) as needed
- Maintain an organised archive of visual assets for press, marketing, and internal use
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or After Effects)
- Proficiency in CapCut and Canva
- Fluency in current social media platforms and content trends
- Strong video editing skills and understanding of digital visual language
- Excellent design judgement with a good eye for layout and brand consistency
- Ability to film and photograph using DSLR or phone with basic lighting knowledge
- Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to meet deadlines
- Recently completed BA or MA in a relevant field (such as Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing)
