Trainee Electrical Installation AM2 Examiner/ Trainer - Electrician in Birmingham

This is a Trainee Electrical Installation AM2 Examiner/Trainer Assessor post for a qualified and experienced electrician.

No previous AM2 examiner or training experience is required for this post and full examiner/assessor training is provided.

Are you a fully qualified and time served electrician? Could you be interested in an Electrical Installation AM2 Examiner/Trainer Assessor position? I am currently working with a client based in Birmingham that is looking for an AM2 Examiner to assess apprentices undertaking the End Point Assessment of their Apprenticeship. This is the final part of gaining qualification, giving them the ability to work as a Qualified Electrician and gain an ECS Gold Card.

My client is willing to take on a qualified electrician with electrical installation industry experience and support them with examiner/assessor training. My client is a successful and well established provider specialising in electrical installation training and boasting excellent facilities.

Essential experience and qualifications:-

– You must be a fully Qualified Electrician with a level 3 apprenticeship/qualification.

– You must hold a JIB Gold Card

– A minimum of 5 years working as an Electrician in industry.

– A keen interest to work in education.

Job Description:-

Typically, each week you would assess up to 6 candidates as they complete an assessment involving installation, fault funding and Test and Inspection.

After providing a brief one-to-one induction, you will observe the process, marking the installation on completion and dismantling the work to prepare for the next candidate. There is a clear marking guide and procedures to work to, ensuring fairness across the board.

When you are not actively observing candidates, marking the assessment bays or stripping them out, you will be responsible for checking stock levels for AM2 materials and ordering replacements.

Full Time Hours Monday to Friday.
