We are offering a fixed-term 12-month contract to cover maternity leave. Job Responsibilities: Provide routine EEG and other Clinical Neurophysiology services for patients with developmental, neurological, and psychiatric disorders referred from across the Trust and other hospitals. Contribute to policies and procedures relevant to the role. Participate in training, education, and assessment aligned with national and professional standards, including data analysis, interpretation, and patient reporting. Engage in quality assurance, research, and developmental programs. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the service. Maintain high standards of neurophysiological services. Work with the team to adapt to changing healthcare needs. Follow guidelines for policy implementation. Perform routine, sleep, and inpatient EEGs on adult and pediatric patients. Conduct Nerve Conduction Studies for conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome. Perform a range of evoked potentials, including Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP) and Somato-sensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP) for upper and lower limbs. Participate in team activities, audits, research, and development projects. Provide reports on neurophysiological investigations. Maintain professional development relevant to neurophysiology services. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and electrodes. Adhere to national, trust, and local policies and protocols. Under supervision, perform specialized neurophysiology investigations. Department Information: The Clinical Neurophysiology Departments at Guy’s, St Thomas’, and Evelina Children’s Hospital are part of the Neurology Department, offering a wide range of investigations including routine and sleep EEGs, multi-modality evoked potentials, EMG services, and specialized pediatric services such as video-telemetry and spinal cord monitoring.
