Job Title: Senior FPGA Firmware Engineer Location: Gloucester, UK (with flexible working options) A high-performing product development team is seeking a Senior FPGA Firmware Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of secure, high-speed, cross-domain solutions. This is an opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of product development—from initial concept through to support—in a hands-on engineering environment focused on cutting-edge hardware and firmware technologies. Design and implement firmware using VHDL for high-performance FPGAs (predominantly Altera/Intel). Collaborate on full lifecycle development, from architecture to deployment. Integrate high-bandwidth FPGA features such as networking, DRAM interfaces, and embedded blocks. Strong VHDL programming skills and experience with at least one FPGA toolchain (Intel, Xilinx, Achronix, etc.). Experience working with embedded FPGA blocks and high-speed data interfaces. High-bandwidth data processing in FPGAs. Understanding of digital hardware design and architecture.
