We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated frontline IT support member to play a key role at MRTC as we are growing and expanding.

Role Overview

As our Frontline IT Support Specialist, you are the go-to person for IT questions in the UK office. You will resolve day-to-day hardware, software, and network issues, support remote staff and keep key business systems humming, freeing the CIO to focus on long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st-line support (Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, mobile, printers, VoIP)
  • Manage and close support tickets promptly, documenting solutions for future reference
  • Build, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, peripherals and network devices
  • Administer user accounts, permissions and passwords
  • Support remote workers via VPN, MDM and collaboration tools
  • Assist with patching, security hardening and upgrade projects
  • Share best practice with the IT team and contribute to standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 + years in a desktop or application-support role
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop & server OS, Microsoft 365
  • Fluent English and excellent written / verbal communications
  • Proven customer-service mindset, problem-solving ability and calm under pressure

Highly Desirable

  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM packages (inspHire, SAP, Dynamics)
  • Scripting basics (PowerShell, batch) or SQL query writing
  • Cisco IOS networking (LAN)
  • Exposure to cyber-security tools or Avaya phone systems
