Posting Details Posting Information Posting Number temp hourly1054P Quick Link for Internal Postings https://jobs.wcu.edu/postings/26258 Classification Title Working Title Hourly Maintenance Technician (T00942) Department Residential Living Salary Range $12-$16 depending upon experience Posting Information Performs skilled and semi-skilled repairs including, but not limited to: window screen fabrication and repair, minor to major wood repairs (desk drawers, shelves, furniture repair, etc.), window blind repair/replacement, ceiling tile replacement, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, installing vinyl tile, patching carpet, replacement of cove base etc. -Assist the Assistant Director for Facilities, Associate Director for Facilities, Housekeeping Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor in the ordering and delivery process for all housekeeping and maintenance supplies. -Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on housekeeping equipment, vehicle fleet, and assorted maintenance equipment. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position The ability to follow written and verbal instructions; the ability to perform medium to perform medium to heavy physical work; the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work well with others. Performs skilled and semi-skilled repairs including, but not limited to: window screen fabrication and repair, minor to major wood repairs (desk drawers, shelves, furniture repair, etc.), window blind repair/replacement, ceiling tile replacement, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, installing vinyl tile, patching carpet, replacement of cove base etc. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or equivalent.
