City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Overview: Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring an experienced Traveler Registered Nurse for the General ICU. Night shift $70 per hour for a 14-week contract and Potential $5000 Sign-on Bonus 20-bed unit with an average daily census of 18 patients. Staffing ratios vary, typically 1:2, but can range from 1:1 to 1:3. ICU staff are supported by an interdisciplinary care team including respiratory, physical, speech, and occupational therapists. Additional support services include interpreter, nutrition, palliative, chaplaincy, and ethical services. Our ICU features onsite and eICU pulmonary critical care intensivists and physician extenders 24/7. Daily interdisciplinary rounds led by physicians and nurses ensure continuity of care and educational engagement. Education: Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in Nursing required. Certification/Licensure: Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) ACLS Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent acute care ICU hospital RN experience.
