This role offers the opportunity to teach and inspire Year 6 pupils, preparing them for their transition to secondary school, and to take on Middle Leadership responsibilities, shaping an area of school development and supporting colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Support and prepare Year 6 pupils for SATs and their transition to secondary school
- Lead and develop a specific area of the curriculum or school improvement initiative
- Provide support, mentoring, and guidance to colleagues as part of the Middle Leadership team
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and school leadership to drive progress and achievement
- Contribute to whole-school development and improvement strategies
Who We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 6
- A strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation
- Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for high-quality teaching
- Proven leadership experience or the ambition to take on Middle Leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to inspire both pupils and colleagues
