Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic GP Vet to work in our single vet, consult-only clinic, with the opportunity for a fixed shift at one of our other branches. We have a welcoming team across 8 sites in Bristol and Cheltenham, run by an experienced team of Clinical Directors and Senior Vets, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade.

What’s on offer

You will have support from experienced colleagues with certificates in Surgery, Cardiology, Feline Medicine, and Small Animal Medicine. We also have certificates in progress and experience in other subjects such as Behaviour, Herbal Medicine, and Acupuncture. Your working week is four days, with a shared weekend rota. There are no night duties or bank holiday work as our Redland Hospital hosts the Vets Now Bristol Clinic.

Opportunities with Clifton Vets

Clifton clinic is a single vet, consult-only site, with the option of a fixed shift at our busy hospital site. Support will be available from our experienced team, and there is potential to take on some site management if this interests you.

Join our supportive team

The site will be refurbished soon to maintain high standards of care for our dedicated client base. You will be supported by experienced receptionists and a registered vet nurse. Ideally, we are looking for a full-time candidate who would join the weekend rota, but part-time applicants will be considered.

About You

We are looking for a Vet with more than 1 year of post-graduation experience. The new Vet must be able and willing to perform GP work, including consultations. Complex cases may be referred to our hospital team, and you would be the only vet in our Clifton branch, so confidence in sole-charge work is necessary. Our ideal candidate will be organized and a good communicator with both clients and colleagues.

Work ethic and values

We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from:

Work-life balance

  • 6.6 weeks annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays
  • Additional holiday entitlement for your birthday
