We are seeking a diligent, self-motivated and dynamic paralegal to join our legal team. The role will suit someone who would enjoy working in a small but high-performing, ambitious team.
Gore Street Capital is one of the first agents in the UK energy storage sector. The experienced renewable energy and private equity investor capitalises on opportunities to spend on robust businesses and assets contributing to the transition to a low-carbon, sustainable economy. The dedicated team are a market driver in renewable energy, bringing a wide range of skills and expertise.
Main Responsibilities, duties and tasks:
- Work with commercial and technical colleagues to review and finalise EPC, O&M and other technical documents and to review definitions for consistency with main body texts.
- Coordinate the execution of a wide variety of legal agreements, including deeds, share purchase agreements, ECP, O&M, ICP and other material contracts.
- Negotiate confidentiality and basic service agreements, simple T&Cs and other pro forma documents escalating material amendments for approval.
- Assist in transaction management and tracking.
- Assist project managers and asset managers in monitoring terms and conditions and supplier obligations under service contracts.
- Research points of law and provide concise and digestible summaries.
- Help prepare first drafts of applications, reports and filings.
- Assist risk and compliance to maintain effective compliance and monitoring policies and protocols.
- Maintain various logs and entries required to ensure compliance with KYC, GDPR, Internal NDAs and MAR regulations and compliance monitoring processes.
- Assist with annual and biannual training.
- Track regulatory developments and provide risk and compliance updates and reports for IC, board and annual meetings.
It is essential that the post holder has:
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in a paralegal role.
- Experience in drafting, research, and effective communication with strong organisational skills.
- Familiarity with EPC/O&M type agreements is a bonus.
