We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Part-Time Lawyer to join our dynamic Legal team. The successful candidate will provide legal expertise and support in the areas of real estate, construction, and contract management. The ideal candidate should be a qualified English lawyer and have approximately 3 years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions, advising on real estate transactions, and managing contracts within the construction and real estate sectors. Key Responsibilities: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to real estate and construction transactions and projects Advise on legal issues related to the acquisition, sale, leasing, and development of real estate properties Collaborate with internal teams, external lawyers, and clients to provide strategic legal advice and ensure successful project outcomes Ensure that all legal documents comply with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards, and mitigate potential liabilities for the organisation Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments, market trends, and industry standards in real estate and construction law Manage outside real estate and construction counsel Requirements Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Fully qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years PQE with a focus on real estate and construction law Proven experience advising on real estate transactions, including property acquisitions, leases, and development agreements Familiarity with construction law, including construction contracts, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify legal risks and propose practical solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Knowledge of construction project lifecycle and related legal implications Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the business implications of legal advice Benefits We offer the following salary and benefits: Salary: £85,000 – £95,000 FTE Pro-rata Enhanced holiday pay Pension Life Assurance Income Protection Private Medical Insurance Hospital Cash Plan Therapy Services Perk Box Electric Car Scheme Why work for EIT: At the Ellison Institute, we believe a collaborative, inclusive team is key to our success.
