Legal Counsel - Capital Markets (ECM / DCM)

One of the leading European Banks that has offices globally is seeking to strengthen its legal team with the hire of an ECM / DCM lawyer into its London office. Offering hybrid working, this team within the bank specialises in ECM and DCM with some high yield products. Reporting into the Head of the Legal department for ECM and DCM, the incumbent will gain exposure to a wide range of international work including:
- A broad range of debt capital markets transactions, including regulatory capital issues and liability management exercises, standalone bonds, EMTN Programmes and ECP Programmes.
- ECM execution of a variety of transaction types (including IPOs, Rights Issues, ABBs/Blocks, Equity-linked instruments and Equity Private Placements).

Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally you will have between 3 to 7 years' PQE from a top tier London law firm, within the capital markets team. Candidates outside of those years will still be considered for the role.
- An excellent academic background and a strong understanding of international capital markets transactions.
- Exposure to High Yield Bonds would be advantageous.
- A true team player, operating as part of a wider Capital Markets legal team.
- Your ability to work with the various stakeholders in the bank and manage and lead on various negotiations will be paramount.
