Principal Engineer – PMS C&I (Software)

Location: Coventry. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop innovative, high-quality software products in line with recognised industry standards.
  • Work within a multi-disciplined team using various tools and programming languages, engaging in all aspects of the software development cycle.
  • Lead assurance and review activities, ensuring configuration, release, and documentation standards are met.
  • Translate requirements into software designs, implement and test solutions, and manage integration, configuration, release, and deployment of the product.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering growth.

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Chartered status or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Proven ability to lead small software teams or serve as a technical specialist.
