Are you an enthusiastic and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a new challenge? Do you thrive in a team that values growth, collaboration, and high standards of patient care? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re on the lookout for an RVN to join our fantastic team – someone who brings energy, fresh ideas, and a desire to be part of a forward-thinking hospital.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, but we welcome part-time applicants as well. We offer flexible working arrangements with no out-of-hours required.

About the team

We’re a friendly, supportive team in a large RCVS-accredited hospital with Gold Cat Friendly and Silver Rabbit Friendly status. Our facilities include a separate cat-only area and exotics ward, and we offer a varied caseload that keeps every day interesting.

Our team includes 9 vets-from new grads to highly experienced clinicians-and 10 qualified nurses supported by student nurses and ANAs, allowing our RVNs to focus on clinical work. We have certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Endoscopy, and Zoological Medicine, plus visiting specialists in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Soft Tissue, and Diagnostic Imaging.

We’re a Vets Now host practice, so there are no out-of-hours or bank holiday shifts. This means better work-life balance and only one scheduled overtime shift every other week.

We encourage team members to grow, take on leadership or mentoring roles, and contribute to developing our protocols and practice.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a qualified RVN with post-qualification experience, though confident newly qualified nurses will also be considered. You should be comfortable in all areas of nursing, with a strong focus on patient care, client communication, and a proactive approach to improvement and change.

There are opportunities to get involved in diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound, dental X-ray, endoscopy), exotics, complex in-house cases, and Schedule 3 procedures. An interest in floor coordination, organisation, and developing leadership skills is a plus.

We’re after a true team player-someone who’s keen to shape how the day runs, contribute ideas, and help improve workflow and patient care.

What’s next?

Ready to make a difference? Step into our state-of-the-art practice, grow your career, and have some fun along the way.
