4 on 4 off 12 hour day shifts 0600 – 1800 – 42 hours per week.
Salary is £21.61 per hour +2% shift allowance.
A quick look at the role.
To be supervise the maintenance team members and provide support to the Maintenance Manager. To ensure fault finding and repairs are prioritised and responded to in acceptable time frames. To assist the team to maintain production and ancillary equipment keeping them in optimum condition. Ensure routine maintenance inspections are performed as set out by management and defects are repaired and reported to management. To provide support and assistance to the production and engineering teams as well as improving the service provided by the maintenance department as a whole. To oversee the maintenance and repair of spare parts, and to ensure OEM recommended critical spares and service parts for all process equipment are available and located in the correct section of the MRO stores.
Your core responsibilities.
- To ensure the department carry out fault finding on process, ancillary and other support equipment and to effectively carry out all repairs necessary to resolve the breakdown
- Ensure that the current plant equipment is correctly maintained on a day-to-day basis allowing it to be operated to its maximum efficiency and capability to meet business KPI’s.
- To assist the engineering team with projects to modify processes, improve performance, decommission redundant equipment and installation of new equipment.
- To ensure that the maintenance department complies with all Health and Safety Legislation and maintain all good working safe practises.
- To support the business by assisting managers to plan and organise annual and routine weekly shutdowns and to ensure all consumable maintenance materials and spare parts are readily available for the work to commence.

- Maintenance Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Previous engineering maintenance supervisory role
- Experience working in a Engineering / Maintenance team
- Ability to supervise a team

- Experience working in a recycling environment
- Knowledge of the recycling industry
