We are a national team of 25 lawyers covering Employment, Pensions and Immigration, with a strong network of employment lawyers across Europe. The team includes four employer partners and two part-time employment judges, offering experience and insight, but also opportunity for career progression. We have a collaborative and collegiate culture; our client base is international and we are known to provide solutions to complex issues facing employers in the private sector. The Team is supported by tax, equity incentive, regulatory and privacy lawyers. We act for a broad spectrum of employers including international corporates across a variety of sectors, focusing on high quality work in Transformation (restructurings, reductions in force, outsourcings and other change programmes); Investigations (lawyer and client-led); and Litigation (Employment Tribunals, County Court and High Court).
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage own matters: Investigations, Transformation projects (including reorganisations, restructures, outsourcing, etc.) and Litigation.
- Lead on larger transactions and cases
- Communicate effectively with clients
- Contribute towards business development strategy of the team by supporting campaigns, attending and presenting at client seminars and developing their own contacts within organisations.
Experience and Knowledge
- Experienced qualified lawyer from a top rated Employment practice, with experience of working with an international client base and in highly regulated sectors
- Experience advising on large scale restructuring and outsourcing projects, senior exits and Board level disputes and high value Employment Tribunal litigation
- Strong academic record and intellectual capability.
- Good legal skills and a genuine interest in the needs of the client.
- An ability to think laterally and identify related issues and problems.
- A confident and professional manner.
