IT Infrastructure Manager

Social network you want to login/join with: IT Infrastructure Manager As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company\’s IT infrastructure and systems, including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, Entra, Networks, and Firewalls. You will support the infrastructure architecture by providing technical expertise, applying design principles and methodologies to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology. You will evaluate and design solutions based on business and customer requirements and help develop the strategic direction. Ensuring our infrastructure is implemented securely, following guidance from NIST, NCSC, CIS, etc., and maintaining compliance with security certifications is essential. You should have experience in a similar environment with circa 1000+ users. Responsibilities Develop and implement a strategic plan for IT infrastructure that meets business needs and aligns with overall strategy. Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes and performance. Provide 3rd line support for infrastructure-related issues, managing internal and external resources for quick resolution. Support the provision of business-specific solutions, ensuring standards for service and compliance are met. Ensure infrastructure availability and support, including: Servers and operating systems Messaging – Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, Mail Filtering Telephony and unified communications Networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls) Anti-Virus – Sophos Backups – Arcserve Database – SQL Printing File Storage, Directory management Web filtering – Forcepoint Service monitoring – PTRG Office 365 Microsoft Entra Cloud migrations Experience Needed Minimum 5 years\’ experience in similar roles Experience working in an SME environment with circa 1000+ users Experience with ITIL qualifications Relevant industry certifications such as MCSE Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills ISO27001:2022 experience Experience with Windows Server cloud migrations Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
