We are currently recruiting an accommodation and support officer to work within a supported housing project for young people aged 16-25 years old.
This is a full-time on-site role, working 35 hours per week, ideally 9-5pm Monday-Friday. We are looking for someone who can provide high-quality housing management services for the customers, ensuring key performance objectives are achieved, assisting all customers to maximise financial income and gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits to be able to move-on independently. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check (including children's barred list).
What you’ll need to succeed:
- It is essential that the successful candidate has knowledge of welfare reform.
- You must hold GCSEs in Maths and English grade C and above or equivalent.
- Ideally, you will have an understanding of housing management, including property maintenance, void standards and income and budget management.
- Preferably, you will have experience of using Orchard housing, but this can be shown.
- Knowledge of working with young people and safeguarding in relation to young people is required.
