We help our readers in all facets of their lives, across the Arts, Entertainment, Eating out, Travel, Fashion, Beauty, Finance, Kids and Home.

Position Description

This is a brilliant opportunity for a creative, dynamic journalist to help shape and drive Muddy Stilettos’ continued growth and reputation in the prestigious flagship site of Muddy Bucks & Oxon, working directly with the Editor-in-Chief and the Senior Management team.

**Please note: you MUST be a national journalist or national content editor, and live in Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire or borders to apply for this post.**

Key Areas of Responsibility

These include:

· Writing, researching and editing reviews and features

· Idea generation for editorial and commercial opportunities

· Newsletter creation

· Growing readership and followers across the site and social

· Social media promotion across IG, fb, TT, P

· Assisting the editor-in-chief where required

· Representing the Muddy brand across the region

PERSONAL QUALITIES

· Urbane, cosmopolitan with great taste

· An excellent local knowledge of Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire including the best local businesses and the best of what’s on

· Charming, fun and unpretentious – you can get along with everyone

· Organised and good under pressure – able to reliably hit deadlines

· Positive, energetic and enthusiastic

· A strong team player – we are a strictly no-diva company!

· Car essential

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

· Senior experience on national magazines and/or broadsheet titles as an editor or writer

· Brilliant writing – accessible, witty, down-to-earth

· A strong visual eye for what makes a stylish image

· A full understanding of how PRs, sponsorship and advertising work together

· Comfortable with Adestra or similar platform

· Knowledge of Wordpress and Canva is an advantage

· Ability to work comfortably and confidently across social platforms, particularly IG

· Ability to multi-task and work at pace

Location: Predominantly home-based but with compulsory quarterly team days and optional weekly co-working in Bicester.

Hours/days of work: Full time (4 days a week will be considered)

Start date: ASAP
