We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President (VP) – Software Developer to join our team at a leading bank in the UK. This role is pivotal in driving the end-to-end change and automation processes across our software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will lead the automation of governance, guardrails, and code-level processes, reducing friction and improving efficiency in delivery. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives with broader business goals, ensuring that all solutions meet the highest standards of quality and security. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure engineering teams excel in delivering innovative solutions. Drive the automation of the software development lifecycle, including guard rails, governance, metadata acquisition, and architecture backups. Implement end-to-end automation solutions, integrating test automation and connecting technical data with infrastructure automation. Collaborate with other programmes to integrate and enhance tech data and infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible. Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, compliance, and product management, to align technical decisions with business objectives.
