Head of Talent at Maverick Advertising and Design We are looking for a Post Producer for a small team that also encompasses bookings/resourcing of projects. We need previous experience of working in these roles but we would also be interested in hearing from Studio Managers with film resourcing experience. Role Summary Responsible for the organisational aspects of the post production schedule, supported by the Executive Producer when required. Managing the workload of the post production team and booking Freelancers when required. Ensuring operators have film briefs and the relevant media to be able to work either in house or remotely. Assisting the Executive Producer to interpret technical briefs. Working closely with Agency Producers and other internal stakeholders to ensure that all projects run smoothly, meet deadlines, and stay within budgets. Overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day running of an edit – from documentation to supplying assets for versioning. Budgeting for simple Post only jobs. Working closely with the Agency Producer. Key Responsibilities Scheduling Post Production bookings into the resource schedule Manage correspondence ensuring that it’s handled efficiently and effectively Manage cancellations and re-bookings Communicate with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely bookings Monitor progress of each job and ensure the Agency Producer is satisfied with the final product. Assessing project and resources requirements with the support of an Agency Producer. Bringing in more resource when required Gathering quotes that are related to post production equipment and freelancers Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with Agency Producers and Account Managers Ensuring that quality control is in place for every edit and animation Building good relationships with post production facilities and suppliers Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary Supervising the work of junior staff Working with versioning team to supply assets needed for transcreation Line management of approx. 4 operators About You At least 5 years’ experience in similar roles Able to adapt to fast-moving and constantly changing requirements while remaining calm and diplomatic Expert knowledge of Post Production workflows including 2D & 3D animation an advantage. Working knowledge of Adobe Suite Know how to ensure that all necessary licences and clearances have been obtained before sign off. E.g. VO, Music & Stock Footage Adaptable, flexible, pragmatic and calm under pressure Have highly developed communication skills Have strong problem-solving skills Be able to work effectively, and with diplomacy and sensitivity, with all members of the team Have advanced analytical skills Budgeting and financial skills an advantage.
