Job Title: Personal Assistant (PA) – Community Support

Location: Wrexham

Hours: 12 hours per week

Working Pattern: Tuesday evening, Thursday late afternoon, plus flexible hours

Salary: Β£13.26ph

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a 28-year-old man who uses an electric wheelchair and communicates with a Dynavox device. The role is focused on enabling independence, accessing the community, and supporting his hobbies and interests.

About Him

He enjoys a wide range of activities, including:

  • Going to the cinema
  • Watching and supporting Wrexham AFC
  • Shopping trips and visits to the seaside
  • Playing and following football, including powerchair football
  • Playing boccia

He is looking for a PA who can support him in enjoying these activities and help make his outings sociable, safe, and fun.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal assistance in the community, including transport and accessibility support
  • Communicate effectively, supporting him in expressing his choices and engaging in activities
  • Facilitate participation in hobbies and community activities
  • Maintain professional boundaries while building a positive, supportive relationship

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Male (requirement of the role)
  • Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic
  • A confident communicator with good English skills (to support effective use of the Dynavox communication system)
  • A car driver with a full clean UK driving licence (essential)
  • Flexible with working hours and able to commit to regular weekly sessions

Hours & Working Pattern

  • 12 hours per week
  • Set hours include Tuesday evening and Thursday late afternoon
  • Remaining hours can be flexible by agreement
