Our client based in Newark is looking for a Catering Manager to join their existing team, to manage and deliver the provision of catering services for the company to include meals, hiring of staff, supervision of the kitchen and encourage healthy eating options.
The role of Catering Manager is:
- To supervise the kitchen, menu planning, food ordering, stock control, staff record sheets and food budgets.
- Responsible for staff training and health and safety.
- Building relations with suppliers and ensuring quality of produce.
Duties include for the role of Catering Manager:
- Provision of any catering required by the company.
- General supervision of the kitchen along with any outside catering.
- All admin work includes menu planning, new equipment requests and reporting of repairs and faulty equipment.
- Sourcing of produce in line with the company's healthy eating policy.
To be considered for the role of Catering Manager you must:
- Have previous experience within a Catering Manager's role working within a commercial kitchen.
- Have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Be educated to GCSE Level for maths and English, hold the Food Hygiene certificate.
- Be aware of Health and Safety regulations and HACCP.
- Solid understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
- An enhanced DBS will be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- N.V.Q or City & Guilds.
Other relevant information:
- Some manual handling and lifting required.
