JOB SUMMARY This position is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of CNC machines and for maintaining a clean, well-organized work area. Primary duties include the consistent operation and inspection of parts produced on CNC equipment. The role also involves operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal components, performing actions such as cutting, drilling, milling, boring, and broaching as specified by work orders, blueprints, drawings, templates, or layouts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Check dimensions and materials to ensure finished parts conform to work orders. Ensure paperwork accuracy and make good use of consumable tools. Notify Lead personnel or Set Up Machinist if machinery is not operating effectively. Observe safety precautions at all times, including the use of safety glasses, safety shoes, ear protection (if applicable), and machine guards. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Machine parts and deburr to specifications using secondary operation machine tools. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during machining processes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Basic understanding of CNC machine operations. Ability to communicate professionally with Managers, Supervisors, and peers. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Uses good judgment in decision-making regarding processes and problem-solving. Ability to read and understand G-Code programming. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Manufacturing environment. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and be able to position oneself to move, install, adjust, measure, and handle materials weighing up to 70 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
