Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrician on behalf of a global CDMO organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. The ideal candidate brings in-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior electricians while ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, machinery, and control panels in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), electrical and instrumentation panels, and automation equipment.
- Participate in the design and implementation of electrical and equipment upgrade projects.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, loop drawings, electrical schedules, and schematics to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Conduct regular preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Company and British standards.
- Mentor and support junior electricians and maintenance staff.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support continuous improvement and efficiency goals.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in root cause analysis.
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship or technical program.
- Electrical City & Guilds or NVQ qualification.
- Proven experience with low-voltage systems, motor controls, and industrial automation.
- Strong background working with electrical distribution systems, UPS Systems, VFDs, and distributed control systems or PLCs.
- Deep understanding of electrical codes, industrial safety protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Knowledge of electrical installation rules in ATEX environments.
