Great opportunity for an Execution Trader (CFA or CISI) with around 1 to 3 years experience in an execution environment able to demonstrate knowledge of Fixed Income/Equity/FX/Futures and Derivatives - with a focus on equities to join a Boutique Asset Manager.
Work in concert with portfolio managers, research, technology and trading to continually drive efficiency, improvements and optimisation of the Execution function.
- Executing orders (Fixed Income/Equity/FX/Futures and Derivatives) in a manner consistent with best execution and risk management practices.
- Cash management for specified portfolios.
- Build strong relationships with other departments of the business: Portfolio Management, Compliance, Operations and Audit.
- Take ownership for best execution responsibilities and counterparty execution quality analysis.
- Gathering, analysing, and disseminating market and security information that identifies or creates actionable investment opportunities.
- Soliciting potential trade interest from portfolio managers and locating external supply/identifying internal demand for liquidity opportunities in the market.
- Take responsibility for implementation plans for new trading instruments.
- Remain informed of new product developments.
- Manage and seek to improve all aspects of relationships with sell-side trading desks to improve liquidity access and trade execution.
- Monitoring and improving efforts to enhance efficiency whilst mitigating risk.
