Your Role: The Oracle Cloud Support Lead will provide technical leadership and expertise in supporting and maintaining the Oracle Cloud ERP/EPM application, specifically within the Finance and Procurement domains. This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud architecture, performance optimisation, integration, security, and operational best practices. The support lead will provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, manage a team of support engineers and will work closely with functional and technical teams to resolve high-impact issues while maintaining stability and security of the Oracle Cloud platform.

Your responsibilities:

  • Technical Oversight & Support: Provide technical leadership and guidance to support teams, in troubleshooting and resolution of escalated technical issues. Support and maintain the integrations between Oracle Cloud ERP application and other CLS systems, leveraging middleware technologies and APIs. Ensure the security of the Oracle Cloud environment, implementing and maintaining security measures in compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Manage the environment strategies for EPM and ERP environments and administer access to those environments.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Lead technical investigations into complex problems, working with other teams to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions. Take the lead during critical incidents and outages, managing communication with internal stakeholders and driving resolution. Participate in post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the performance, stability, and security of the Oracle Cloud environment. Drive the adoption of automation tools and scripts to streamline support processes and improve efficiency.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including support documents, system architecture diagrams, configuration settings, workarounds and troubleshooting guides. Work closely with the functional support lead and team helping them to cross-skill and share knowledge to become a techno-functional team.
  • Business engagement: Act as a point of escalation for technical support team handling critical business issues that require advanced technical expertise. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Finance & Procurement business teams becoming a trusted advisor. Maintain high customer (business) satisfaction by ensuring timely and effective resolutions, clear communication and providing proactive updates.

Essential experience, skills & qualifications:

  • Deep technical understanding (5-8 years) of Oracle Cloud ERP platform, including Fusion Middleware and database technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud application development frameworks and tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., SQL and Python).
  • Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools.
  • Understanding of integration technologies (OCI) and APIs (e.g., REST, SOAP).
  • Experience with ITIL processes and change management.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a technical support role within an Oracle Cloud environment with integrations.
  • Oracle Cloud certifications.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks.
