About The Role Job Title: Planner Division: Building Location: Childrens Hospital (RVH), Belfast, Northern Ireland Benefits: Car Allowance, Pension, Private Medical Cover, Life Assurance Scheme Join our team as an Planner in Belfast , working on the state-of-the-art Children\’s Hospital at the Royal Victoria Hospital site. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in construction planning, proficiency in Asta Power Project, and a proven ability to manage planning processes through the project lifecycle. Success in this role requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills, with a keen eye for problem-solving and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage project programmes including contract and target programmes Use Asta Power Project for critical path analysis, scheduling, and performance tracking Provide project controls expertise, ensuring industry best practices to reduce risk exposure Communicate planning strategy effectively to project teams, senior management, and stakeholders Ensure the project is planned to a high standard, reducing the risk of time-related issues affecting margins Liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding all planning and programming matters Produce fully integrated programmes, covering design, procurement, consents, construction, and commissioning Prepare and present reports on programme progress, attending key meetings. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying efficiencies in planning and programming processes Support and mentor junior planning professionals as required. Essential Criteria Significant industry experience in construction planning P roficient in Asta Power Project for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting Ability to manage planning processes and develop comprehensive project programmes Strong critical path analysis and risk management expertise Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present planning strategies clearly to diverse stakeholders Experience in resource management, optimising workflow to improve project efficiency Capability to conduct site inspections, ensuring planning accuracy Familiarity with contract management, understanding terms and conditions impacting project planning Awareness of construction site safety protocols, ensuring planning aligns with health and safety standards Desirable Criteria Chartered status or working towards CIOB, or relevant accreditation Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field Previous experience in healthcare sector projects Familiarity with Thinkprojects (CEMAR) or other contract management tools Ability to influence and develop stakeholder relationships to align planning strategies Track record of contributing to process improvements within a planning team Understanding of digital transformation in construction scheduling Our Commitment At GRAHAM, we are proud to say that we are a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and we aim to be the first choice for people from all backgrounds.
