Are you a confident Management Accountant with experience in large, complex organisations? Do you enjoy owning the month-end process, producing insightful reporting, and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders? If so, this could be the perfect next step.
Robertson Bell is working with a well-known organisation to recruit an Interim Management Accountant on an initial six months contract. Joining a team that are passionate about streamlining processes, this role reports to the Financial Controller and working with various teams across the organisation, you’ll take ownership of the management accounts process for your directorate, and play a key role in improving reporting and analysis. The organisation offers a hybrid working pattern.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing complete monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and full commentary
- Meeting tight reporting deadlines and working to streamline processes
- Performing deep-dive analysis into income, cost drivers, and net performance across key divisions
- Supporting the development and rollout of performance reports in Power BI
- Assisting with budgeting processes, including preparation of templates and supporting stakeholders
- Contributing to evolving the business partnering approach across teams to improve collaboration
- Using initiative to investigate variances and resolve queries by engaging the right people
The Person:
- A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Experienced in end-to-end management accounts within a large and/or complex environment
- Comfortable with large datasets and performance analysis
- Proactive and inquisitive – able to pick up processes, work with notes, and solve problems through effective communication
- Experience with Agresso / Unit4 would be beneficial, but is not essential
- Power BI experience is a plus but not a requirement
