Job Description

About the role:

We are looking for a skilled professional with a proven track record in successfully supporting HR system transformations for a 9-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of HR systems/processes, strong stakeholder and project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Transitioning HR systems: Supporting the transition of HR systems – Oracle HCM to Workday. Payroll system changes etc.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR leaders, Digital teams, and other business stakeholders on transition of systems.
  • Identifying downstream impact: Working with colleagues in the Digital Enterprise team to identify impacts/changes to other system/processes as part of the transition.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to support on possible data migration or other technical activities required.
  • Support with technical changes/enhancements: Working with Abcam’s system integration and support partners on changes/enhancement.
  • About you – Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

  • A good understanding of Workday and Oracle HCM
  • General understanding of the HR Domain and other systems in that space
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of seniority
  • Ability to distil and effectively manage information
  • Able to work both in a team (as member and/or leader) and independently, to deliver results
  • Good attention to detail and an ability to analyse and use data in decision making.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
  • Experience identifying, diagnosing and resolving issues independently; will take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications
  • Fluent written and spoken English

    A Degree in a Digital background would be beneficial but not essential, we are keen to see solid skills and experience.
