My client is a highly reputable, leading national insurance business looking to expand their team further. With a phenomenal track record of success and a prominent leader in their field, a commitment to providing a fun and supportive culture for their employees is as important as their company performance.

They are looking for a Health and Safety Adviser on a full time, permanent basis to be based in the South Devon / Cornwall area but you will be required to travel around these areas. If you have a background in consultancy work this will be second nature. You will be a confident communicator and someone who prides themselves on building relationships in the farming and agricultural community.

The salary is dependent on relevant experience and qualifications but is up to £45,000, plus exceptional benefits including a company car or car allowance.

Main duties include:

  • Reviewing health and safety and fire risks and making appropriate recommendations
  • Reviewing ongoing risk assessments and policy documentation
  • Managing and growing a membership based around your home area
  • Providing practical and up to date advice to customers
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities

The successful candidate:

  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Fire Safety and Risk Management qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a health and safety position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in the farming and agricultural community
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A willingness to adapt
  • Good IT skills including the use of CRM & Microsoft Office
  • Delivering exceptional service
