We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroller to join our recognised client based in Gateshead. This role will assist in the processing of monthly payroll for approximately 8000 colleagues. This is a full-time position working 37 hours.

Payroll Processing

  • Accurate processing of an end-to-end monthly payroll of circa 1,200 colleagues.
  • Review, manage and resolve payroll queries including the calculation and raising of manual payments where required and ensuring they are all accurately recorded.
  • Good understanding of statutory payments including Maternity, Paternity & Shared Parental leave.
  • Experience of full end-to-end payroll preferred.
  • Previous experience working as part of a payroll team is essential.
  • Must be competent in performing manual payroll calculations.
  • Experience of operating a modern payroll software package such as PeopleXD (Access), Success Factors (SAP), Oracle, Dayforce (Ceridian) or Workday.
  • Candidates should be experienced in Excel; knowledge of VLOOKUPs is also required.
