An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Higher Case Progression Officer in Strategic Criminal Justice.

Responsibilities

  • Review, advise and make decisions on all prosecution files (Pre and Post charge cases) in accordance with the Manual of Guidance ensuring that evidential file standards are met prior to the submission of files to the Crown Prosecution Service.
  • Ensure that all key evidence is tested against the Threshold and Full Code evidential standard required to obtain a charging decision from CPS.
  • Review all serious and complex advice files, in line with National and local policies and procedures, ensuring disclosure issues are complied with.
