1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants Practice Area: Construction (Non-Contentious) THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an ambitious Construction Solicitor (Non-contentious) to join our busy team based in Leeds, working with an existing high-quality client base. The role will involve working closely with Developers, Contractors, and large corporate and commercial clients with repeat instructions, developing a close day-to-day working relationship with the clients and becoming a key point of contact with internal and external client contacts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction documents, including building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, and related agreements. Advising clients on procurement strategy, project structuring, and risk allocation. Providing specialist construction input on cross-departmental transactions, particularly real estate, banking, and corporate deals. Supporting and supervising junior lawyers and trainees, with a focus on development and knowledge-sharing. Engaging in client relationship management and actively contributing to business development initiatives. CANDIDATE PROFILE The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience in non-contentious construction law. Strong technical skills in drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke construction documents. A commercial and solutions-driven approach to legal advice and client relationships. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. A proactive attitude to mentoring, leadership, and supporting the growth of junior members of the team.
