What you’ll be doing:
- Managing system patching and staying ahead of known vulnerabilities
- Maintaining and updating the Cyber Security Risk Register
- Configuring and reviewing firewall rules to protect the network perimeter
- Monitoring and responding using Microsoft Defender and Endpoint Protection tools
- Running phishing simulations and awareness training for staff
- Implementing data loss protection controls and securing Microsoft 365
- Conducting vulnerability scans and acting on results
- Supporting continuous improvements in the business’s cyber security posture
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in 2nd line IT support, infrastructure, or a similar role
- A strong interest in cyber security and a desire to build a long-term career in the space, ideally with good cyber security skills for the past 12 months+
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Someone who’s comfortable learning fast, asking questions, and taking ownership
- Bonus points if you’ve already had exposure to cyber tools, M365 security features, or firewalls
You don’t need to be a cyber expert (yet), just someone who’s had some good commercial exposure to cyber security within IT infrastructure who is serious about becoming an expert. You’ll get the support, the tools, and the time to build your skills. In return, you’ll play a vital part in keeping the organisation safe.
