Do you have a keen eye for detail and an interest in health and safety? We are looking for a Control Centre Operative to join our growing team in Stockport to monitor the health, safety, and service performance of our recycling and waste management collection crews across the UK by analysing live feeds from multiple cameras.
You will help to identify good working practices, as well as opportunities for improvement, recording and sharing these with our operational teams to help continuously improve the way we work.
You’ll need to have good communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices in the waste management industry would be helpful, but is not essential, as full training will be given. This is a great opportunity for someone who has good analytical skills and is passionate about improving health and safety.
Here’s what we require:
- Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
- Ability to work well within a team
- Good communication skills
- IT literate
- Knowledge of hazard/near miss reporting procedures - Desirable
- Health and Safety (preferably in a waste environment) - Desirable
- Experience of working on a multiple computer screen display setup
