Job Summary: The Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in supporting the analysis and development of food products, ensuring all procedures follow strict GLP standards. This position is ideal for a recent graduate in Chemistry (or a related field) looking to build a strong foundation in the food science and manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse food samples using standard laboratory techniques (e.g., titrations, spectrophotometry, pH measurements, moisture/protein/fat analysis).
- Perform chemical and physical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory activities in compliance with GLP.
- Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Support ongoing R&D projects with timely and precise analytical data.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and food safety regulations.
- Participate in internal audits and quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated laboratory experience (academic or industrial), ideally involving food or chemical analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of sample preparation and analytical techniques.
