The predicted salary is between 60000 - 75000 £ per year.

Salary up to £75,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000.

Due to our full-time vet leaving us to explore the world, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our excellent team to work across our three-site group of clinics in West Sussex.

Alphapet is a well-established Veterinary Group on the Southern Coast of England who have been providing services to our community for over 30 years. In addition to small animal work, we also work closely with a local wildlife hospital to treat a diverse range of wild animals.

We aim to provide the best possible care for our patients and foster a development focussed environment to achieve individuals’ passions which gives us a wide set of skills across the whole team. We actively encourage feedback, case discussions and good communication across all job roles.

What we need from you

The position is based on 40 hours per week with shifts between 8am - 7pm. We are open to candidates wanting part-time work and/or a 4-day working week. The rota will also include 1:4 Saturday mornings. There are no out of hours or bank holidays as these are covered by Vets-Now.

In addition to this role, our team includes 2 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 2 qualified Animals Nursing Assistance and a dedicated reception team. Our surgery is loaded with all the usual equipment including Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Radiosurgery, and a fully equipped lab.

Our clinic locations boast a fabulous coastline and plenty of wide-open space on the South Downs for country walks. Bognor is an entertainment hub with Butlins and Hotham Park, as well as a local cinema, multiple pubs, and places to eat. Heaps of seaside shops and fun, including the pier and promenade train rides! There is a multiplex cinema in Chichester, with a bowling alley and various big-name restaurants, and on the outskirts, you can even try your hand at water sports! We have local transport links to trains that service Gatwick and London and a short drive to Portsmouth will give you plenty of outlet shopping and links to the ferries to the Isle of Wight and France. If you fancy some history, there is also the historic town of Arundel with the Castle, lake, and quaint little shops.
