ACS International Schools are seeking a High School Chemistry and Biology Teacher to work at our Cobham campus in Surrey, UK. The teacher will be required to teach High School Chemistry to students of varying skills and ability, ages 14-18, following the IB/US curriculum.

Knowledge, skills, and experience required:
- Bachelor's degree/Bachelor of Education.
- A teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/Teaching licence/certification or equivalent).
- 2 or more years of post qualifying relevant teaching experience is desirable.
- Experience teaching ages 14 - 18 and IBDP/AP Chemistry and Biology is preferred.
- Strong IT skills, preferably with Apple products.
- Demonstrates consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Fluent in both verbal and written English.
- Significant experience and willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning.
- Experience of teaching in an international school is desirable but not essential.
Accountabilities:
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students in a safe learning environment, rooted in mutual respect.
- Plan and teach well-structured engaging lessons, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students.
- Promote student progress and outcomes, assess and provide feedback.
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop teaching and learning resources for students at different levels.
- Promote a love of learning.
- Offer help to all students who need additional learning support, working with Resource teachers, including EAL and learning differences specialists, to support students with specific learning needs.
- Undertake training, keep up-to-date on requirements and work as an advisor in the Pastoral Care programme, overseeing the day-to-day wellbeing of students to identify any student issues, problem-solving with the pastoral care team as required, liaising with parents/carers.
- Participate in the extra-curricular programme.
- Support with other duties to assist with the smooth running of the school.

Working hours: Full time, term time, Monday to Friday
