Reporting to: Farm Manager
Overall aim of the Job: To assist the manager to carry out all tasks required in the day to day running of the farm, whilst maintaining the highest level of bird welfare standards and bio security.
Key Tasks Within The Job:
- Undertake all aspects of poultry production, ensuring the highest welfare standards are adhered to.
- Daily bedding and feeding of the animals in your care.
- Ventilation control.
- The recording of daily welfare checks and maintaining accurate records.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Be part of a team with a willingness to work and improve.
- Be reliable & have a good attitude towards working at weekends.
- Work to a high health and safety standard.
- Monitor and report any required repairs to buildings and machinery to the Farm Manager ensuring the site operates efficiently and safely.
- Carry out welfare checks of the site, when required.
- Report any shortage of farm supplies to the Farm Manager.
- Maintain all aspects of company policy on site (as per the Company Handbook).
- Carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require.
- Deputize for the farm manager in their absence.

Job Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 39 Hours per week plus alternate weekends
Working Times: Working hours will be approximately 7.00am – 15:30pm, Monday to Thursday; 7.00am – 14:30pm Friday and alternate weekends.
Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour
