We are a leading Tier 1 contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality, complex projects across the UK. Our London office is expanding, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Building Services Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering MEP services on major construction projects in Central London and the surrounding regions.
Role Overview:
As a Building Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical (MEP) services across this large project from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll work closely with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure technical excellence and project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead MEP coordination across design and delivery stages
- Review and manage design drawings and specifications
- Interface with clients, design teams, and delivery teams to ensure compliance and performance
- Monitor and report on progress, quality, and cost of MEP works
- Manage specialist MEP subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Assist in developing and implementing commissioning and handover strategies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role with a Tier 1 main contractor or Subcontractor
- Strong knowledge of MEP services, building regulations, and industry best practice
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (HNC/Degree level)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with BIM and modern construction technologies is desirable
