We are recruiting for a Level 1 Network Engineer for a Global Systems Integrator who are expanding their Networking Engineer team. Huge opportunities for career development and large training budget.

CCNA level Engineer/Stagging Engineer required to assist in pre-implementation services. Perform solutions delivery activities for customer success, through demonstrated technical knowledge and skills in Staging, Racking, Stacking and cabling.

The first six months will be spent working in a customer Data Centre in Surrey, thereafter in Middlesex and working on client sites in UK and Europe, where required.

You will need one/two years + experience in these types of Network activities in a Routing/Switching & Data Centre environment.

Conduct staging activities for hardware including:

  • Receive and unpack hardware from warehouse goods in updating inventories
  • Apply firmware updates and patches
  • Perform hardware tests and capture test results
  • Build laboratory/proof of concept installations in staging area
  • Re-box hardware for onward delivery from warehouse to customer
  • Install device configurations as per approved designs
  • Maintain the staging area to meet best practice levels of tidiness and safety
  • Perform installation of hardware into customer locations including commissioning and testing
